Amil Zavo, self taught photographer and digital design artist. Photography came to my life as a hobby, when I was about 15. I was completely thrilled by a dim red light and a mystery smell of development chemicals, but most fascinating was to watch the magic of the pictures that appear on paper after being exposed to the light through a negative and immersed into solution. It was something on the of edge chemistry or even alchemy and visual art.
Even now, when the technology provided different way to capture and process photographs, with high quality and a relative ease, for me it’s still a way to tell an emotional story about the magic and uniqueness of every moment in the motion of life.
To be honest, I don’t think that it’s possible to be objective in photography and like a mirror to reflect things around you, without mixing in your own opinion and vision of the situation. The camera it’s a very powerful tool of interpretation, just by including or excluding objects from the frame, by changing angles, proportions, distances, the light tonality and it’s intensity, a photographer expresses virtually unlimited spectrum of emotions, and as well for each viewer it will appear differently, based on their previous experience, taste and mood.
